Muriel A. Gilfoy, born July 5th 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to Edgar & Sarah Andrews, passed away peacefully at home November 10th, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She is now absent from the body and present with the Lord. A graduate of West Philadelphia High School, Class of 1942, she attended Pierce Junior College. Muriel was employed by Green's Real Estate and Nagles Fuel Co as a book keeper, and Shrivers in Ocean City, NJ. She attended Bethany Temple Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA and later joined Southwestern Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. She was active in Christian Endeavors and singing in the choir. In later years, she attended Church of the Savior in Wayne, PA.

Muriel was predeceased by her lifelong sweetheart and husband of forty-four years, Herbert H Gilfoy. Together, they had four children: Marsha Baron (Larry dec.), Kevin Gilfoy (Joyce), Lorreen Moyer (Dave), Scott Gilfoy (Marybeth); grand children: David Benjamin Baron, Erik Baron, Todd Gilfoy, Kyle Gilfoy, David Lars Reinertsen, Shawn Reinertsen, Joshua Reinertsen, Jonathan Reinertsen, Kiersten Gilfoy and Shane Gilfoy. She was the great-grandmother to Taylor Baron, Giovanna Baron, Sophia Gilfoy, Austin Gilfoy, David James Reinertsen, Fiona Grace Reinertsen, Mary Elizabeth Reinertsen, Cole Reinertsen, and Lucas Reinertsen.

Muriel enjoyed spending time with her family in their summer house in Ocean City, NJ. She will be remembered as a Godly woman, who loved the Lord, her Family and her friends, and demonstrated this by the way she lived her life. Service will be held at Church of the Savior, 651 N. Wayne Ave, Wayne, PA 19087 Saturday, November 18th, 2017 Visitation from 9-9:45am Service starts at 10am. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
