Mom....Oh how I wish you were still here and that there was some way I could magically bring you home....but that is not the plan....nor to be. Your passing has stunned my very soul and is much more than I can bear. How to say good-bye to my loving Mom and my dearest friend is a task I am having great difficulty with....not sure it will ever happen. Thank you for your love, support and companionship all these years. You were life's greatest gift to me....you were "The Wind Beneath My Wings". So now, I must say good-bye and give to you in full, the most precious gift I can give....My Heart Full of Love....I hope it's enough. I miss you so much. Rest in peace with your Son's Heart in your hands and his Arms tightly wrapped around you.
In Deepest Love and Loyalty,
Your Loving Son Forever,
Craig

Doug:

I noticed your mother's obituary online and I just want to express my condolences to you and your family. I read the obituary and learned many things I didn't know about her. I can still remember her as though I had just seen her yesterday.

I don't know whether you remember me but I am Chris Bachler and I lived next door to you on Marshall Road. It's been nearly fifty years since we have been in touch.

Your wife called my parents' home in 1981, following your father's death. I'm sorry we weren't able to make his funeral but we did send flowers. I was very sorry to hear about his loss. He was a really nice guy and I remember him well.

My father died in 1986, and my mother passed away in 2010. So I know how hard that is. My eldest sister, Joan, died only six months after my mother. She had multiple sclerosis.

My sister, Nancy, lives near me in Swarthmore. I now live in Media. Tom lives in Erie and has been there since the early Seventies.

I have often wondered about you and your family over these many years. It's hard
to forget the first people you knew in your life. I still have many fond memories of Marshall Road and our adventures as children. I occasionally drive by that area when I am down that way.

If you get this please let me know how you are and what's been going on in your life for the last five decades. Also give my best regards to Craig and Skip.

Best regards always,

Chris Bachler
