William Moore Obituary

William "Bill" M. Moore of Broomall, a loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023. Born on December 23, 1933, in Bellevue, Ohio, Bill lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family.

Bill was a devoted husband to his late wife, Marlene (nee Bricker) Moore, whom he cherished deeply. Together, they raised two wonderful children, W. Craig Moore and Carol H. Moore, enjoyed three amazing grandchildren, Sara, Andrew, and Alexi, and three darling great-grandchildren, Michael, Juliana, and Myles. Bill is survived by his brother Thomas and was predeceased by his brother Terry.

Bill’s intelligence and analytical mind led him to pursue a successful career in engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Lafayette College and later an MBA from Temple University. His hard work and dedication were evident throughout his career, which included roles as a Mechanical Engineer, a Plant Engineer, and eventually Vice President of Facilities Management for JP Morgan at their Headquarters in Christiana, DE. Bill’s colleagues and peers respected him for his expertise and management style.

When not working, Bill was an avid reader who loved to spend time caring for his vegetable and flower gardens, watching songbirds at his many birdfeeders, swimming laps at the local pool, and following Phillies baseball.

Bill dedicated much of his later years caring for his beloved wife Marlene, who suffered severe, treatment-resistant depression. Bill’s love and support for his family were unwavering.

Bill’s life was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and love. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his life's journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bill’s name to National Alliance on Mental Health (https://nami.org).

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall on Thursday, May 11th, 2023, at 12:30 followed by a memorial service celebrating Bill's life. The burial will be in Merion Hall Odd Fellows Cemetery, Gladwyne. The family invites all who knew and loved Bill to join them in remembering and honoring the remarkable life he led.
