BELL
WILLIAM DELBERT
William Delbert Bell of Media passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on November 29, 2025 at the Lima Estates senior living community. Born on February 11, 1933, in Jericho, Kentucky, son of William L. Bell and Orah Belle (Abney) Bell. He graduated from Fern Creek High School near Louisville, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky State College. He later earned a degree in theology from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. He served as a missionary with the North Africa Mission, later known as Arab World Ministries, for 38 years, with 25 of those years overseas. After retiring from the mission in 1998, he went to work for the Manoa Community Church in Haverford, retiring from that position in 2017. He is predeceased by his wife Catherine Marie (Winfrey) Bell and a grandchild. Surviving are his three sons Richard Keith Bell, Mark Allan Son-Bell, and Paul Duane Bell and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for him at Manoa Community Church, 153 N. Eagle Road in Havertown, on Saturday, December 13 at 2PM. A reception will follow at the church.
