Tou Kisa Obituary

Beloved sisters and brothers, it is with a bittersweet spirit that we announce today to pay our respects and celebrate the life of Mrs. Tou Asinata Kisa, a beacon of selflessness, love, and faith. Born on the 3rd day of April in 1948, in the vibrant Village of Muberi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tou was a radiant soul who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. On September 27, 2023, she was called home by the Lord, leaving this earthly plane in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Tou was the cherished daughter of Asa Sira and Nyamundu Rael and the beloved wife of Djawotho Kisa. Their union was a testament to the power of love, displaying a bond that was as enduring as it was profound. She was a devoted wife and mother, a beacon of unwavering support, and a source of boundless love. Her family was her world, and she was theirs.

In her professional life, Tou served as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a dedicated caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her selfless nature shone brightly in her work, embodying the healing hands and compassionate heart of a true servant of the community. Her dedication was not only to her profession but also to the well-being of all those who were blessed to come under her care.

Tou was a woman of deep faith, a flame that was kindled in her native Muberi and continued to burn brightly throughout her life. Her faith was the compass that guided her, the wellspring from which she drew strength, and the beacon that illuminated her path. She was a testament to the power of unwavering faith, a living example of the scripture, "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Her interests were a reflection of her love for her roots and her family. She held a profound love for African culture, a love she expressed through her exquisite cooking. Her culinary creations were a testament to her roots, a savory symphony of flavors that brought joy to all who tasted them. Her love for her faith and family were always at the heart of everything she did.

In the words of the good book, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Mrs. Tou Asinata Kisa was indeed a faithful servant, a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a beacon of selflessness and love. As we remember her today, let us strive to embody the virtues she lived by: faith, love, and selflessness. As the sun sets on her earthly journey, may her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire us all. Amen.

Family and friends will view Mrs. Kisa privately on October 15th, 2023 before her earthly remains will be sent back to her Village of Mulberi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her plane will be met not only by her husband, Djwortho; but by her family members from her village; who will take her on the solemn journey  back to her Village where she will be celebrated. She will be laid to rest with her family on their property in the Village of Mulberi.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
