Thomas Pratt, Jr. Obituary

Thomas F. Pratt, Jr., known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, at the age of 58, in West Chester, PA. Tom was born on February 25, 1966, in Coatesville, PA, to parents Thomas F. Pratt and Irene (nee Lorento) Pratt, who instilled in him the values of love, humor, and dedication that he carried throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Henderson High School, Tom went on to have a successful career as a printer for over 25 years. His work was not only a profession but also a craft that he honed with patience and precision. In the midst of his career, Tom embraced the freedom of the open road as an over-the-road truck driver, a job that brought him immense joy, especially with his faithful golden retriever, Max, by his side. Those long journeys across the country were some of Tom's most cherished adventures.

Tom's life was enriched by his marriage to his loving wife, Michele Smith, with whom he shared countless moments of joy and laughter. Together, they built a home filled with love and open-hearted hospitality. Tom was the adoring father of his two girls, Christina and Abby, who were the lights of his life. His love for his daughters was evident in every action, from his endless support to his playful pranks that left them with memories to cherish forever.

Tom's interests were as diverse as his talents. He was an avid prankster, always plotting his next playful caper to bring a smile to someone's face. He loved spending time with his girls, whether it was on a spontaneous road trip, a quiet evening at home, or cheering them on from the sidelines of their various activities. His love for his family was his guiding force, and it was reflected in the strong bonds he forged with each family member.

As we remember Tom, we recall a man of great character, a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of those he touched. His legacy is one of love, humor, and kindness, and it will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Tom will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves behind a family who adored him: his wife, Michele; his daughters, Christina and Abby; his parents, Thomas and Irene; and his sister, Gina Applegate.  Tom's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever be a part of the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Tom. Your love, laughter, and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
