Susan, the dear daughter of the late Peg and Frank Peak, peacefully entered her Heavenly home on October 1, 2020.
Susan graduated from Pennsauken High School in 1974 and earned a B.S. in Physical Education from West Chester University. Susan worked for Conrail for many years and then continued in the IT field for Vanguard until her retirement. She was an outstanding athlete and enjoyed a life-long love of sports. This passion led her to become an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Sue and her wife Joann traveled around the country often to cheer for their beloved Eagles. Her love of the outdoors led her to many hours of fishing, birdwatching, gardening, and trips to the shore. Susan had a bigger than life personality and could find humor in all situations. Her generous and kind spirit were always on display. For example, she took pizza to her auto mechanic; donuts to her dentist’s office; and always left a cold bottle of water for her mail man. Susan and Joann enjoyed traveling to many destinations – on land and sea. One of their fondest memories was their trip to Greece. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Susan is survived by her wife Joann Niatas of Chester Springs, PA, mother-in-law Katherine Niatas, brother-in-law Jason (Maryellen) of Morristown, NJ.
Susan is also survived by her sister Karen (Joe) Molloy; her brother Steven (Barbara) Peak of Cinnaminson, NJ; 7 nieces, 2 great nieces, and 2 great nephews, whom she adored.
A memorial service will be held at Logan Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ocean Conservancy Organization (https://oceanconservancy.org)
