McGONAGLE, SUSAN CALTER (née COZZI) entered eternal life peacefully on October 12, 2021.
Daughter of Jane and Felix Cozzi (deceased), she is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Robert (Bob) and her loving children Corey Lynn Calter (Glenn Kaino), Amanda Kuleßa (David) and Robert Alexander. Adored and loved by her grandchildren, Sadie, Stella, Liam, Ingrid, Eden and Freya. She also leaves her sisters Maureen Jamgochian (Richard), Jane Foster (Jack), and Elisabeth DeFino, brother Glenn Cozzi, and sister-in-law Stephanie Cozzi, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Susan graduated from Yeadon High School in 1964, and went on to Philadelphia College Of Art, where she excelled in color and fabric. Her first job was with the Mendte Advertizing Agency, and then branching out onto her successful career as an Interior Designer in her beloved Philadelphia. Her client base encompassed well established professionals in the Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York areas.
She had a lot of interests and was a founding member of the Dick Haymes Society where she contributed articles to their various publications and wrote articles about other entertainers. She was a crafter and produced beautiful floral arrangements and wreaths, and was a partner in the craft boutique, American Country Sampler. She was an active member of the Queens Village Association and helped coordinate many of their endeavors. Susan was loved by all her family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 10-11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Old Swedes Church, 916 S. Swanson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment at a later date. The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed as well. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Heart Association.
Family requests that everyone wear a mask and prefer no physical contact like hugging, etc., during the funeral services.
