Shearman Fell

Shearman Fell, 93, of Broomall, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was the loving husband of Betty Claire (nee’ Fox) Fell. Born in Philadelphia on August 28, 1928, he was a son of the late Albert Chandler and Bernice (nee’ Shearman) Fell. He was a 1946 graduate of Haverford High School. Shearman enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict before being Honorably Discharged. He was a self-employed carpenter and was the owner of Shearman Fell Carpentry before he retired. He was a faithful, lifelong member of Marple Presbyterian Church where he enjoyed volunteering around the church. Shearman and Betty loved to travel in their RV and have been all over the country. He enjoyed working around his property and feeding the birds. But Shearman was a selfless man and took pleasure in helping others. In addition to his wife, Betty at home, Shearman is survived by three children, Stephen S. Fell and his wife, Lisa M. (nee’ Varjian) of Media, Douglas S. Fell and his wife, Mary Kay (nee’ Lykowski) of New London Twp. And Dianne L. (nee’ Fell) Carr, wife of the late Kevin P. Carr of Aldan; four grandchildren, Douglas J. Fell and his wife, Natalie (nee’ Windle) of Philadelphia, Sarah M. (nee’ Fell) Petro and her husband, Michael of East Fallowfield, Meghann E. (nee’ Fell) Micek and her husband, Stephen of Lincoln University and Taylor R. Fell of Virginia Beach, VA and great granddaughter, Naevy James Micek at home in Lincoln University. In addition to his parents, Shearman is predeceased by his brother, Albert C. Fell, Jr. A memorial service will be at 11am on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Logan Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008 with his pastor, Rev. Karen Nelson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home on Thursday from 10am to 11am. Shearman will be laid to rest in Glenwood Memorial Park, Broomall following services.
