Sean Tipping Obituary

Sean M. Tipping peacefully joined Our Heavenly Father April 4, 2025. He was at home in the loving care of his wife and family at the age of 65.

Loving husband of Nuna (nee Meeink) Tipping.   Brother of Charles (Maureen), Terry (Carolyn), Joseph (Mary Rose) and Thomas (Lisa) Tipping.   Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, In-Laws and friends. Beloved son of the late Charles & Mary R. (nee Gallagher) Tipping.

Sean was born July 11,1959 in the quaint Irish hamlet of Schuylkill, which rests on the banks of the scenic river that bears the same name.  Sean attended St. Patrick’s, St. Mary’s, and Roman Catholic High School where he was at the top of his class in all scholarly, athletic and social endeavors. He boasts that he was by far the smartest kid in fifth grade; research shows that only six children were in attendance that year.

Sean loved to play and wager sports. Every Monday he would bring Avalon golf course to its knees. He stated it was a shame he had to purposely flub a couple of shots so he could play down to his fellow golfers, otherwise records would have been broken.

Sean was also quite the ladies man: he once said, “Men wanted to be him and women wanted to be with him.” At this time, some of these facts are still being researched and may not be completely valid.

Sean’s work career was also stellar. He was the vice-president of that illustrious fortune 500 company Tipping School Pictures, where he was a lead by example type of guy. His coworkers and clients could not get enough of his downright genius.

Sean was also a mixologist extraordinaire. He demonstrated his art in five and even six star establishments around the area: Callahans, The Anglesea and Exit 6 are some that come to mind. People in the know have said that these places are bucket event destinations.

Sean was definitely a legend to all the people he knew.  Sean will be sadly missed but very fondly remembered.
