Sara Ann (nee Miraglia) Cucinotta passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 at home surrounded her family and dear friend. Born on December 23, 1946, she grew up in Yeadon and attended Archbishop Prendergast High School.
Sara had a strong spirit and a personality that left an impression on everyone she met. She had a sharp wit, a loving heart, and a deep devotion to her family.
She was the beloved daughter of the late John Vito and Emilia Miraglia. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Ann (Grillo) and her brother, John Vito Miraglia, Jr. Most importantly, she leaves behind her only son, John, whom was the light of her life. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Johnny (15), Gabrielle (13), and Carmen (6). She loved them dearly and took immense pride in their lives.
One of Sara’s greatest pleasures was spending time at the Jersey shore with her family, creating memories that will live on as her legacy. The ocean, the boardwalk, and the simple joy of being together in that special place brought her the greatest happiness.
Sara’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family will honor her life. In lieu of flowers, they ask that you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Rest easy, Sara—they don’t make them like you anymore.
