Sanja A. Harper, born August 15, 1941, in Kabul, Afghanistan, passed away on January 2nd, 2026. A devoted nurse, loving mother, and resilient grandmother, Sanja lived a life shaped by courage and compassion. Her journey took her from Afghanistan to Germany and eventually to Philadelphia, where she built a long and meaningful career in nursing and proudly helped many of her family members immigrate to the United States.
After marrying Joseph Harper in 1984, she embraced a quiet life filled with dedication to her home and family. Following the tragic loss of her daughter, Hasina in 1991, Sanja and Joe opened their hearts and home to their granddaughters, raising them with deep love and unwavering commitment.

Sanja’s life was not easy, but it was full — defined by sacrifice, courage, and the family she held close.
