Roseann Marie McGinley, a spirited soul known for her infectious laughter and adventurous heart, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 67 in her hometown of Philadelphia. Born on August 11, 1958, to Thomas George and Elizabeth Ruth (Kelly) Murray, Roseann's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, resilience, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Roseann's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family, a trait she inherited from her large and loving family. She was a beloved sister to Michele, BettyAnn, Christine, Harry, and Johnny, and was predeceased by her siblings Bobby, Jimmy, Michael, Edna Mae, Ann, Joey, and Tommy. Her life was further enriched by her marriage to the late Robert J. McGinley, Sr., with whom she shared the joys and challenges of parenting their children, the late Robert J. McGinley, Jr., the late Rosemarie McGinley, and Tyleah Robey. Roseann found love again with Gary Michael Robey, and together they continued to nurture their family's legacy.
Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, and she extended her warmth and guidance to her son-in-law, Timothy Grove Sr. Roseann's legacy continued to blossom with her adored grandchild, Timothy Grove, Jr., and his fiancée, Jocelyn Cortes, and her great-grandchild, Sophia Marie Grove. Her capacity for love seemed boundless, and she was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, leaving behind a myriad of fond memories.
For over 25 years, Roseann devoted herself to her work in housekeeping, where her colleagues became a second family. Her involvement with Local 32BJ was a testament to her belief in community and solidarity among workers. She took pride in her work and the friendships she forged along the way.
Roseann's interests painted a picture of a woman who embraced life's adventures with both hands. She was a familiar face during Irish Weekend festivities and could often be found trying her luck at the casinos or indulging in a shopping spree. Roseann had an uncanny ability to spend money in ways that brought joy not just to her but to those around her. Her passion for cleaning was matched only by her love for the shore, where she created countless cherished family memories.
No event was complete without Roseann's presence, and she had a knack for rallying the family to gather at her sister Michelle's house, ensuring that the bonds of family remained strong. Known for her humor, Roseann could light up a room with her funny anecdotes and playful spirit. She lived life fully, never missing an opportunity to add a touch of excitement to the everyday.
