Robert "Robb" Arthur Blanchette, Jr. Obituary

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Robert Arthur Blanchette, Jr., known to most as Robb. Robb was born on April 16, 1965, and left us peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 59. Robb is survived by his small family: husband, Craig Fuller; and their two corgis, Rhys and Kitt; and preceded in death by his beloved corgi, ‘Wes, Wes, Super Wes’.

Robb was born in Lowell, MA, and grew up in Pelham, NH, where he graduated from Pelham High School in 1983. Robb began studying business management at Southern New Hampshire University and eventually studied theater arts at College of Marin in California. Robb has lived in Boston, MA, San Francisco Bay area and Dallas, TX, where he worked and thrived in his role as a customer service analyst for Neiman Marcus for almost 10 years. Robb and Craig were married in May 2019 and started a new adventure at the H house in Great Meadows, NJ. They spent their time enjoying the rural nature of living on a mountain with their two corgis and all of the wild animals in the area. In the fall of 2024, Craig and Robb started one more new adventure as they relocated to southeastern Pennsylvania, where Robb passed away. Robb’s motto was, “Say YES to new adventures.” He lived that motto until the very end.

Robb was a man of many talents – cooking, baking, design, furniture rearrangement and the ability to cut right to the point whether you were ready for it or not! Robb was known for his novel recipes and his food was beloved at parties, Robb’s and Craig’s work and the infusion center. Robb was a committed friend, amazing host and had a heavy pour. Robb was known for his kindness, sense of humor, warmth and the ability to pick out the most appropriate and special gift for an individual. His generosity, compassion, and love for those around him were central to his character.

Robb is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Arthur Blanchette, Sr., and Dolores Collopy Blanchette, and by his older sister, Sherry Blanchette Lapointe. Robb is survived by his younger sister, Amy Blanchette Fitzgibbon and husband, Rob, and by his brother-in-law, Gary Lapointe. Robb was called Uncle Bobby by his surviving nephews and nieces, Cody Lapointe, and wife, Trisha, Logan Lapointe, Robbie Fitzgibbon and Alyssa Fitzgibbon, and by his great-niece, Maeve Lapointe, and great-nephew, Cullen Lapointe. ‘Uncle Robb’ is also survived by Craig’s godchildren, Nigel and Julia Schaefer.

A celebration of Robb’s life is being planned for spring 2025.

Robb will be greatly missed, but his impact on all of us will be felt by those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
