Robert B. Thompson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on July 16, 1936, Robert lived a life defined by devotion to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He proudly served in the United States Army, carrying with him the values of duty, honor, and perseverance throughout his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leona Thompson, and his son, Bobby Thompson. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Bobby’s wife Maria, Karen, Laurie and her husband David, and Doug and his wife Christina.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless joy and pride.
Professionally, Robert worked as a respected real estate appraiser, known for his integrity, dedication, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he was an avid golfer who enjoyed time on the course with friends and family.
One of Robert’s greatest joys was raising his children in Ocean City, New Jersey, where he created a lifetime of treasured family memories. He especially loved his morning bike rides along the Ocean City boardwalk, taking in the sea air and peaceful beauty of the shore he loved so much.
In retirement, Robert made his home in Fort Myers, Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine, relaxation, and continued time with family.
Above all else, Robert loved his family deeply. His kindness, strength, steady presence, and unwavering love will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
A life well lived, a man well loved, and a legacy that will continue through the many lives he touched.
Visitation: Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 11:30-12:00 noon, Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008.
Memorial Service: Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon, Logan-Videon Funeral Home.
Burial: Private.
