Robert J. Leonard Jr.

Robert J. Leonard, Jr, , 73, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. in Bella Vista, Arkansas where he currently resided. Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 19, 1951 to Robert Sr. and Rose Anne (nee Gannon). He is survived by his former wife Joanne Leonard and his daughters, Christie (Starr), Jen (Welsh), Carrie (Smith) and Mary Kate (Braid). Along with 7 grandchildren, Zoe, Carly, and Emmett Starr, Danica and Joe Smith, Theo and Elodie Braid. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Sullivan, Patricia Dawson and his brothers, Howard (Rusty) and Joe.

Bob attended St. Andrew Grade School in Drexel Hill, PA.  Msgr. Bonner High School in Drexel Hill and finally attended La Salle University in Philadelphia.  He spent his childhood in Drexel Hill, PA working as a paperboy. He started his career working for Ava the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company better known as A&P.  He started as a clerk and worked his way up to Food Buyer.  He eventually made his way to the Sales, starting his own business as a Food Broker.  He eventually found an opportunity to own a Kitty Litter plant in Buffalo NY and then in Little Rock AR. He made his way back into the Brokerage field by starting the Advanced Marketing Group in Bentonville, AR where he retired in 2021.

Bob was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He never lost his Philly connection. He is loved by many friends and colleagues in the Philadelphia area, Buffalo and Arkansas.  Wherever he went, he made great long-lasting friends and will be remembered for his generosity.

Funeral services will be held March 24, 2025, at Saints Philip and James Church, 723 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 to 10:30, the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30.  Interment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, family request contributions be made to Camilla Hall Nursing Home for IHM Sisters or Sts. Philip and James Parish.
