Rita M. Biscardi, age 81, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
She was a kind-hearted soul, who never met a stranger. Her genuine care, concern, upbeat attitude, smile and humor, left an impression on so many.
Rita was born in Philadelphia, PA, April 5th, 1944, daughter of the late Carmelo and Carmela (Caputo) D’Ambrosio. Raised in Philadelphia and a 1962 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School, she and her family had spent summers at the Jersey Shore in Brigantine. Married in 1963, she later relocated there in the early ‘70’s. After 3 decades, she moved to Port Orange, FL, then recently, moved back to the North East, settling in Drexel Hill for the remainder of her life.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, decorating her home, loved holidays, family visits and caring for her cats, Happy and Holly.
Rita held many positions of employment throughout her life, especially as a homemaker, raising her daughters in Brigantine. However, prior to and afterwards, she found success troubleshooting as a customer relations specialist for many Fortune 500 companies, receiving awards of recognition and achievement.
Rita was predeceased by her four brothers Ralph, Vincent, Norman and Carmen, Jr., and her former husband of 45 years, Al Biscardi. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa B. Scott, Havertown, PA, and Laura Muenster, Mount Pleasant, SC, two granddaughters, Ashley Kurz (Matthew), Cheshire, CT, Paige Kemp (James), Wenatchee, WA, one great-granddaughter, Georgia Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews.
Even though Rita’s fighting spirit battled medical issues in her final years, she never complained. She found solace in her Catholic faith, and peace surrounded by the love of her family and kitties.
Please join Rita’s family for a Visitation, 10:30 - 11:15 A.M., on Saturday, October 4th at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Memorial Service at 11:15 A.M. Immediately followed by a private burial service with her family, at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
