It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rhonda Bentler, a loving partner, mother and grandmother, who passed away on June 18, 2026.
Rhonda had a lust for life that couldn’t be tamed. Born and raised in Springfield, Illinois in 1950, she went on to become President of her sorority, Delta Gamma, at the University of Miami, and eventually moved to Philadelphia where she obtained her MBA from Temple University and pursued various business ventures all while raising her two children, including owning her own Curves for Women franchise in the early 2000s.
She is survived by her beloved partner, Michael Denner, MD; her son, Langston Denner (Jessica); her daughter, Remy Gelman, JD (Keith); and her three beautiful grandchildren – Maverick, Crew and Harper.
Rhonda was the best conversationalist, had exquisite taste, and wouldn’t hesitate to stop and save a snapping turtle crossing the road. She lived a life full of adventure and love and her only regret would be not living to see a female president.
She will be missed beyond words and remembered always. May she rest in peace
