Regina Tallon Obituary

Regina F. “Floss” Tallon, who was known for her loving, friendly, and selfless nature, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Prospect Park at the age of 80.

Born on August 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Thomas C. and Florence (Murray) Tallon. Regina grew up surrounded by family and carried those close bonds with her throughout her life. She was a devoted sister to Rosemarie (Tallon) Priemon, wife of the late Carl Priemon; Thomas C. Tallon, Jr. and his wife, Laura; Frank Tallon and his wife, K.C.; and Helen (Tallon) McConnell and her husband, Robert. She was also the beloved niece of Lawrence Tallon. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Regina attended Mercy Technical School and went on to build a life marked by steady work, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility. Over the years, she held a variety of jobs that reflected her willingness to do whatever was needed. She worked as a cigar wrapper, in laundry at St. Francis nursing home, at the Acme Warehouse, as an Acme cashier, as a K-Mart cashier, and later as a clerk at the Delaware County Courthouse in the marriage licensing sector. In each role, she was known for her dependability and the kind manner she showed to those around her.

Outside of work, Regina enjoyed a rich and active life filled with hobbies and community involvement. She loved ceramics and crocheting, and she was a wonderful letter writer who kept in touch with family and friends in a thoughtful and personal way. She was a proud USO member and enjoyed Civil War reenactments, which reflected her appreciation for history and tradition. She also liked playing cards and found comfort and companionship in her cats, Bootsie and Baby. Above all, Regina treasured her family, and she was a beloved aunt and great-aunt whose warmth and affection touched many lives.

Those who knew Regina will remember her for the kindness she offered so freely and the genuine care she showed to others. She had a gentle spirit and a welcoming presence that made people feel at ease. Her life was one of simple but meaningful joys, steady devotion, and deep family ties. She gave of herself without hesitation and left behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:15am at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. Mass will begin at 10:30am in the church. Burial will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

Regina’s family and friends will remember her with gratitude for the many ways she enriched their lives. Guided by a caring heart, she never hesitated to share her thoughts and feelings, believing that her words might offer comfort, encouragement, or make a meaningful difference.
