Ralph Carl Jones, 79, formerly of Schuylkill Haven and originally from Delaware County, passed away Monday, December 1st, at his daughter and caretaker, Christi’s home.
Ralph was born in Chester, PA on November 9, 1946, a son of the late Denny & Josephine (LaSpina) Jones.
He was scouted to the St. Louis Cardinals minor league for baseball but decided to serve in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Upon his return, he worked as a maintenance supervisor in Philadelphia for many years until retirement.
He was a devoted Philly sports fan and especially enjoyed watching baseball. Above all else, Ralph loved spending time with his family.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Christi Beuchler, wife of Derek, Schuylkill Haven, son, Paul Ford, husband of Sarah, Hometown, grandchildren: Nathaniel Rivera, Kiana Rivera, Jina Brennan, Ryleigh Ford, & Charlotte "Charlie" Ford, siblings: Denny Jones, Jr., Josephine Kendig, Sara Fasulo, Ronald Jones, & Shirley Hall, and nieces & nephews.
A Visitation will be 10 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13th at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008 followed by his Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Ralph will be laid to rest in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. Interment with military honors will follow.
