Phyllis Winslow Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, died peacefully Sunday, September 3. Phyllis was born February 2, 1938, the youngest child of J. Willison and Elizabeth [Kennedy] Smith of Worcester, Pa. She is survived by her siblings Elizabeth Muldrow, Sally Hathaway and Stephen Smith. Her brother, J. Willison Smith III, predeceased her. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews. Phyllis will be missed by her dear friends, the Sack family, of Louisville: Susan, Michael and their children.
Phyllis was a graduate of Wheaton College. She began her career as a securities analyst and later worked in her father’s law practice in Philadelphia. She also administered the Masland charitable trust for many years.
A devout Christian and member of Second Presbyterian church in Louisville, Phyllis supported several Christian organizations including serving on the board of World Team. She was a positive influence to her friends because of her faith.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 14th, 10am, at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 142 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, Pa.
