Patricia Veronica (O'Malley) McMerty

Patricia "Pat" McMerty passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at the age of 84, in Glen Mills, PA. Pat was born on May 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Edward Armstrong McMerty, Jr., her devoted brother Edward O'Malley, Jr., and her loving children Edward Armstrong McMerty, III, Kara McMerty Bennett (Brad), Susan McMerty Campisciano (Vince), and Maureen McMerty Echternach (John), and her adoring grandchildren Gregory, Kylie, Claudia, Brynn, Ford, Blair, Genevieve, and Patrick, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Geraldine O'Malley Skilton and her parents Edward O'Malley, Sr. and Genevieve Strain O'Malley.

After graduating from Glassboro State College, she worked as an elementary school teacher and again in her empty nesting years.

Pat also enjoyed her many years as a member of her beloved St. Dorothy's bowling league. These weekly gatherings and the luncheons that followed were a source of joy and enduring friendships.

Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the center of Pat’s world, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially being Nana.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Saint Dorothy's Church, 4910 Township Line Road, (corner of Township Line & Burmont Roads), Drexel Hill, PA  19026.  A Visitation will be held at the Church also 9:30 - 10:15 A.M. prior to the Mass.  Interment at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA  19064.  The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed also.  Please click on the following link at 10:20 A.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 to view the Mass.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCio1cNnl4DJtpIMqmnyvmbw
