Patricia Malloy Obituary

Patricia Ann Malloy-Matta of Yeadon, PA, known affectionately as Patsy, a cherished sister, aunt and friend, passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 67. Loving daughter of the late Edward L. and Mary K. (McNamee) Malloy and beloved niece of Lucy (McNamee) McFadden. While she grew up in a bustling household with her parents and siblings, her beloved and treasured family connections remained with her cherished extended family.

Patsy was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and a foundation of faith that she carried with her throughout her life. Patsy’s inherent caring nature found meaningful expression in her work within the restaurant industry and later as a Medical Assistant. Her compassion and dedication profoundly impacted both colleagues and those she served in healthcare. Her compassionate spirit naturally guided her to this rewarding career journey, leaving a lasting legacy for those she worked alongside and those she tended to.

In her personal life, Patsy was known for her love of the Jersey Shore, where she spent many joyous occasions basking in the sun, enjoying the ocean breeze, and creating memories with her family and friends. Her appreciation for beauty extended to her photography as she captured many family moments outside of her time spent at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she often spent time with her best friend admiring the art and culture that the city had to offer.

Patsy was a beacon of support and love within her family. She is survived by her sisters, Mary and Eileen (her husband, Ken) and her many loving nieces and nephews: Kelly (her husband, Roger), Kenny (his son, Kaiden), Andrew, Katie (her husband, Jason and son, Julian), Brian, Damian, (his son, Jace), Maureen (her husband, Jason and their children, Remi and Harper), Melissa (her husband, Brandon and sons, Logan and Mason), Alekssandr and Jacob (his wife, Briana and their daughters, Ava, Emma and Sadie). Among them, Patsy held a special closeness and maintained connections that each will carry as their own shared memories and special moments with Aunt Patsy.

Though Patsy was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Edward and Martin, her presence and spirit will continue to live on through the countless stories, plethora of pictures she took and the indelible mark she left on all of her family. Patsy’s legacy is one of kindness, warmth, and gentle guidance. She was a pillar of strength, always ready with a listening ear, a good laugh and wise words of advice.

Patsy (Patricia) will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, her generous heart, and her unwavering love will never be forgotten.

As we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the peace she now finds. While we mourn her loss, we also rejoice in the knowledge that her spirit will forever be a guiding light to all of us fortunate enough to have been touched by her eternal kindness and grace. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved parents and brothers, and that her love will continue blessing them from above.
