Patricia O’Neill Lausch, lovingly known as Patti, 67, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 7, 2026.
Born in Southwest Philadelphia, Patti spent her early years there before moving to Havertown, Pennsylvania as a teenager. She later raised her three children, first in Lansdowne and then in Downingtown, Pennsylvania—places where so many of life’s everyday moments became lasting memories.
Patti built a meaningful career in higher education and earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology while continuing her professional journey. She was the Assistant Dean for International Student and Scholar Advising at Bryn Mawr College, a role she truly loved, supporting and connecting with students from around the world, and from which she retired in April 2025.
Patti was known for her sharp mind, independent spirit, and deeply caring heart. She had a playful, fun-loving nature, a quick wit, and brought warmth and joy to those around her. She and her husband, Charlie, shared a love of travel and enjoyed visiting many places together over the years. She especially loved the beach—most notably Rehoboth Beach—where she hosted an annual trip, bringing together her children and grandchildren for time that became a treasured tradition. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, with whom she spent as much time as possible, treasuring every moment together.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Charlie Lausch; her children, Kate Cloyd (née Lausch), Sharon Lausch (Brittany Hardie), and Neil Lausch; her beloved grandchildren, Liam and Charlotte Cloyd and Elijah Lausch-Hardie; her siblings, Mary Ellen Quinn (Frank), Terry Barth (John), Joanne Corey (Jim), Peggy O’Neill (the late Jack Bonner), and John O’Neill (Mary-Agnes); her brother-in-law, Stan Rishkofski; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John O’Neill and Mary O’Neill (née McDermott), and her sister, Kathleen Rishkofski.
A service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church in Downingtown, followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patti’s memory to the Chester Children’s Chorus, an organization she loved supporting and where she found great joy in attending concerts.
Patti will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and vibrant spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
