Obituary

Patricia D. (nee Noone) Bonner, on September 12, 2022, age 82, of S.W. Philadelphia.  Loving wife of 48 years to the late Philip E. “Knute” Bonner.  Loving mother of Mary Beth (Thomas) Ryan, Philip, Jr., Sean K. (Patty), Sheamus (Whitney), Erin (Joseph) Hudyma, Bridget (Brian) Pot, Deirdre (Frank) Hines and the late Patrick Bonner.  Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren.  Loving sister of Bernadette Remley, and the late Nancy Gallagher, William Noone, Barbara Robins, Martin Noone, and Delores Gillespie.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patricia Noone Bonner was the daughter of Martin & Helen Noone and one of 7 siblings.  Pat grew up in West and Southwest Philadelphia.  Graduate of Good Shepherd & West Catholic Girls High School.  Patsy loved to travel and have a good time with friends, which usually involved some singing.  Did we mentions she had a beautiful voice?  She married Philip "Knute" Bonner after being in one of his shows.  They had 8 Children!  Pat & Knute attended multiple Irish functions in the surrounding Philadelphia area, throughout their 48 years of Marriage.  They were invited to everyone's party, as they were the life of it!!  Knute would tell jokes and the two of them would sing!!  Pat's go to was typically an Irish Rebel song!  Pat volunteered for many years at the Irish Immigration Center and helped many young Irish men and women get settled here in the States.  Her father Martin helped Win Ireland's freedom after the 1916 Easter Rising.  Pat's passion was in keeping that spirit alive!  She often would sell chances for a good cause and was a proud member of the Clan-Na-Gael, in the hopes of one day seeing all of Ireland Free!  That torch has been passed to her children and her 13 Grandchildren!
