Patricia K. (Xanthopoulos) Berstler

Patricia Katherine Berstler, daughter of Katherine (nee Manaras) Xanthopoulos and the late Nicholas D. Xanthopoulos.  Born September 23, 1959, she was welcomed into eternity, passing from this life, on May 30, 2019 due to lymphoma complications. She grew up in Havertown, Pennsylvania. She committed her life to Jesus Christ as a young woman, growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ ever since.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark L. Berstler, and her beloved mother Katherine. She is also survived by her adoring sister, Diane (Michael) Carr, her nephew, Michael and niece, Rachel, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and many cousins in New Jersey and New York as well as her great aunt, Mary Migliaccio. She was predeceased by her father, Nicholas, and her in-laws, Walter and Eleanor Berstler of Upper Darby and Willow Valley, Willow Street, PA.

She lived in Wayne and Havertown with her husband for a number of years until they moved to Parkesburg/W. Sadsbury Township 16 years ago to enjoy the serenity and observation of the cows and horses of the area.  Her nephew, Michael, and niece, Rachel, shared in this joy, staying for days at a time.   She volunteered with a benevolent organization, for a time, as well.

 She attended Calvary Fellowship Church, Downingtown, where she, along with her mother, met with her engaging and warm Ventures class led by Pastor Bob VanArsdale, and Thursday Bible Class.  She had attended Church of the Open Bible, Parkesburg, for a number of years with whom she developed dear friendships.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mark L. Berstler in October 28, 1978, at St. Luke's Greek Orthodox Church, Broomall, Pennsylvania.  She was a 2002 Magna Cum Laude Business Administration & Finance graduate of St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA.

As a result of her generous spirit, pleasant personality, and strong faith, she was loved by many. Her life was dedicated to pleasing her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left her job as Mortgage Loan Operator at ING/Capital One seven years ago to do full-time caregiving for her husband and mother.

She will be greatly missed, but we look forward to when we will be reunited where
there will be joy everlasting.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 11:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Saturday, June 8th at Calvary Fellowship Church, 95 W. Devon Drive, Downingtown, PA  19335  followed by a Funeral Service 12-12:45 P.M.  Interment following service Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA  19050.
