Patricia Belger Obituary

Patricia Regina Belger, a woman of faith and joy, passed away peacefully on the 14th of November, 2025, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, at the age of 95. Born on July 18, 1930, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, to the late Maurice and Dorothy (Quigley) Belger, Pat’s life was a testament to her enduring spirit.

Growing up in Upper Darby and surrounding areas, Pat’s early years were filled with the love and camaraderie of her siblings, the late Eileen Donohue, wife of the late Bud Donohue, and Bernice Belger,  Her family expanded to include her beloved nieces and nephews - Jay Cannavo and his wife Suzie; Philip Cannavo; Peggy Conroy and her husband, Frank; Jimmy Cannavo and his wife, Jeanne; Pat Ostermick and her husband, Gerry; Terri Vetter and her husband, Bob; and Chip Donohue and his wife, Maria Hill.  Pat also cherished her relationships with her many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, who brought her immense joy.

An alumna of Notre Dame Academy, Patricia’s education laid the foundation for a successful career in the banking and finance industry.  Additionally, she worked as a Real Estate Appraiser.  Later in life she worked at Catholic Charities and State Farm Insurance.  Her professional journey was marked by a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.  Pat always found time and ways to give back to her community.  She was an active volunteer at every parish she belonged to over the years. For seven years she lived in community with Dominican sisters, serving as a volunteer at the Spiritual Renewal Center, a retreat house in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Throughout her life, Pat gave great care and support to her family and friends.

Pat’s Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through her many years and inspiring her to live a life of service and gratitude.  Her interests outside of work and volunteering were just as vibrant and full of life.  Pat enjoyed and valued people, loved to gather with others and embraced the good times with open arms.  Her laughter was infectious, and her presence at any gathering was a guarantee of a memorable and joyful occasion.

She faced life’s challenges with courage.  Her sense of humor was a source of comfort and laughter for those around her and her deep faith provided a shining example of how to live a life filled with gratitude, purpose and love.

Family and friends will be received in St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Ave., Primos, PA 19018 on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 from 10:00am to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will follow in the church at 11:00am. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
