Patricia Taylor Obituary

Patricia Ann Taylor (née Beal), age 77 of Broomall, PA, formerly of Audubon, PA, passed peacefully on May 21, 2023.

Lovingly known as Pat, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, godmother, friend, and caregiver. She was born on October 28, 1945 in Camden, NJ.

Pat was naturally creative and artistic, and was often found in front of her sewing machine (“the beast”) or with a paintbrush in her hand in front of her latest canvas. She sewed clothes, purses, and blankets for family and friends. Pat created and donated handmade blankets and hats for NICU babies. She painted countless, gorgeous canvases of family pets, animals, and people who inspired her.

Known as “Mom Mom” to her grandchildren, Pat lovingly captured memories in annual scrapbook albums. She was an avid reader and an animal lover. She enjoyed cooking for her family (especially her legendary meatballs and mac & cheese). She loved puzzles, word games, and coloring with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband, Richard E. Taylor, Jr., her daughter, Erica Lucas (née Beal), son-in-law Andy Lucas, as well as her five grandchildren: Ethan Purr, Brandon Lucas, Rebecca Lucas, Jackson Lucas, and Quinn Beal. She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Schofield, and Pat’s nieces: Pamela Gallus, Christine Buscemi, Karen Weidner, and Jennifer Phifer, and her entire family who lovingly call her “Aunt Pat.”  Also survived by her mother-in-law, Rae Taylor, sister-in-law, Amelia Zurat, and her former daughter-in-law, Kristen Beal. Widowed after the death of her previous husband, Gary Beal, Pat is also survived by his brothers Richard Beal, Steve Beal, his sister Charlotte Tarantino, and Pat’s nieces and nephews: Deborah Magnin, Jeff Kelly, Jeremy Beal, Amanda Beal, Tim Beal, and Stephanie Beal, as well as their children.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Silvino Joseph Colalillo and Helen Ann Altmaier, as well two brothers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Adam Beal (February 2022), and his father, Gary Beal (August 1989). Her fierce love for family extended to her role as a caregiver to Richard E. Taylor, Sr, who preceded her in death (2015).

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am in Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. A Burial Service at 11:15 am will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd Springfield, PA 19064.
