Norma H. Rogers (nee Emma), born May 11, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Darby, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the love and warmth of the family she cherished throughout her life.
Norma was a loving, thoughtful, and interesting woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. She was the devoted wife of the late John Rogers, her husband of 55 years, and the proud mother of Maria (Bill) Miller and Jana (Dave) McKee. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Jay Rogers. Norma treasured her role as grandmother to Tracy Miller. She is also survived by her loving brother, Alfred Emma, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember her with affection and gratitude.
Norma graduated from Yeadon High School in the class of 1960. She carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness with her throughout her life, and she brought those qualities into every role she filled. Norma worked as a travel agent and was employed by Apple Vacations, where her friendly nature and dependable spirit served her well. She was known for her pleasant personality and for the care she showed in helping others plan memorable experiences.
Norma also gave of herself through community involvement and service. She was formerly a Girl Scout Troop leader, where she shared her time, guidance, and encouragement with young people. In addition, she was a member of the Yeadon Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoyed being part of a group dedicated to supporting the community. Her involvement reflected her generous heart and her desire to be useful to others in meaningful ways.
In her personal time, Norma enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her happiness and relaxation. She loved watching sports and was a devoted fan of the Game Show Network. She also enjoyed playing bingo and shopping on QVC, pastimes that added fun and excitement to her days. Whether she was spending time with family, enjoying her favorite programs, or taking part in a favorite activity, Norma appreciated life’s everyday moments and the people around her.
Norma will be remembered for her loving nature, her thoughtful ways, and the interesting life she lived. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and cared for, and her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they made with her. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the example she set, and the many lives she touched over the years.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that Norma’s life was filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain a lasting source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9-11:00 AM at the Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
