Nora A. Del Bono (nee Souder), age 80, a longtime resident of Broomall, PA, and formerly of Folcroft, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Nora was the daughter of the late William and Anna (nee Billie) Souder. She is predeceased by her sister Nancy A. McCorkle and her brother William R. Souder.
She was a proud graduate of Joseph W. Catherine Elementary School and John Bartram High School. In her early career, she served as an assistant to the Vice President at Pennsylvania National Bank. Later, she dedicated many years as the Office Manager of the family business, Del Bono’s Auto Body, which was founded in 1968.
Nora was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, mom-mom, sister, aunt, and dear friend to all who knew her. Family was at the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed summers at the shore, first in Sea Isle City, NJ, and later in Ocean City, NJ, where many treasured memories were made.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard (Lou) Del Bono, Sr. Together, they shared sixty beautiful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is also survived by her loving children: Nancy (Paul) Chernitsky, Richard L. Del Bono, Jr. (Nicole) and William S. Del Bono (Eliana). Her heart was further enriched by her precious grandchildren, Jordyne L. Chernitsky, Matthew P. Chernitsky and Stephanie C. Del Bono; her beloved niece, Nancy Bowen (Scott); her cherished furry grandbabies and her extended family and dear friends, all of whom brought her immense joy and comfort.
Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
