Nina Dorothy Barton

Nina Dorothy Barton, 92, of Newtown Square, passed away peacefully at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown on Saturday, July 30th, 2022.  Nina was born in Darby, PA on August 20th,1929.  She was the daughter of the late George F. and Dorothy (Leahy) Barton and sister to three brothers, Donald, George, and Bill and one sister, Eileen.

She was a graduate of Merion Mercy Academy and later attended Immaculata University where she studied Art.  Nina was a talented artist whose pieces are still beautifully and proudly displayed in many family members’ homes.  Nina held many different administrative positions in the workforce, but her most coveted accomplishments and consistent passion was always her love for creating art through painting, charcoal sketches and sculptures. 

Nina always valued and loved her family.  She was the family historian and a devoted Catholic, always watching over and keeping us in her prayers and intentions. She is survived by her brother, William (Bill) Barton, husband of the late Ellen Barton.  Along with her brother, Nina is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews and 73 great nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 5th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Family and friends will gather for a viewing in the family room at Church on Friday from 10 to 11am. Burial will be in Saint Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
