Michael Robert Mills

Michael Robert Mills, otherwise known as Mike passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on November 7, 1948, in Philadelphia, Mike was a man whose presence was as commanding as his heart was generous.

The son of the late Robert John and Ruth Margaret (née Christian) Mills, Mike was a proud graduate of Ridley High School in 1967, After graduation, Mike honorably served his country in the National Guard, a period of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and resilience.

Mike was a well-known figure in Media, PA, where he owned and operated Mike Mills Auto Body shop for many years. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft earned him a reputation for excellence and integrity. Later in life, he brought his strong work ethic to GE, where his colleagues valued his experience and strong work ethic.

Mike's love for Philadelphia sports was legendary. He was an ardent supporter of all the local teams, but his heart belonged to the Eagles. His passion for the game was infectious, and he cherished the camaraderie of discussing the matches with friends and family, often providing colorful commentary that was both insightful and humorous.

Above all, Mike was a family man. His loving wife, Linda Marie Mills (née Klimchuk),  partner of 31 years in every sense, sharing with him the joys and challenges of life. They raised two wonderful children, Danielle Moen (Patrick) and Ron Higgins (Melissa). Mike's role as a grandfather to Seth (Ashley), Gianna, Grace, David, Ronnie, and Audrey was one he embraced with enthusiasm. He was the ultimate grandpop, always ready with a joke, a hug, or words of wisdom.  He loved his granddogs and especially his “bird” Clyde… who watched every sports game with him while they shared snacks! Clyde would always yell out “Where’s Mike at” and only had a love for him.

Those who knew Mike would describe him as loving, funny, and selfless. always putting the needs of others before his own.

Mike's legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family . He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

As we say farewell to Michael Robert Mills, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, joy, and an abundance of love. Mike's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Mike; your legacy will endure.
