Michael Brendan Dunbar

Michael Dunbar, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the age of 48.

Born on December 6, 1973, in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Cherie Savard Margarite-Stutz and Bill Dunbar.

From a very young age Michael had a thirst for knowledge, was an avid reader, and was a strong-willed independent thinker. He was a free spirit, fearless, always adventurous and was admired by so many. Michael was an accomplished drummer and was a member of Friendship Williams Freemason Lodge 400. He was best known for his amazing artistic ability which led him to become an exceptional and published tattoo artist. He was quick-witted, had a funny sarcastic sense of humor and told countless stories of all his adventures. Michael lived life on his terms, was looked up to and loved by so many and loved spending time with his family. He will be missed but will never ever be forgotten. 

He is survived by his daughter Aislinn, fiancé Amy Melniczek

Mother Cherie (Vince) Savard Margarite-Stutz, stepfather Michael Margarite, grandmother B.J. Savard-Boyer, grandfather Henry (Dorrislee) Savard, siblings Leon (Lisa) Margarite, Christopher (Susie) Margarite, Sheri (Lou) Margarite Bertero, and Alexa Stutz, Aunt Christie (Joe) Rossett, Aunt Cindy (Ernie) Payne, Uncle Mark (Christine) Savard and many loving cousins.   

He is preceded in death on his mother’s side by his Grandpa John Boyer, Aunt Betty Jane Savard, Uncles: Robert Savard, Gary Savard, Chip Savard, Bill Savard, and Cousin John Savard.

He is also survived by:

Father Bill (Lyn) Dunbar, siblings Brian (Nicole) Dunbar, Michelle (Alex) Krynski, Brandon Dunbar, and loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death on his father’s side by grandparents Charles (Claire) Dunbar, and Albert (Victoria) Woolley.

Relatives and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Michael’s life on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd, Broomall, PA. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
