Michael Theodore Cahill

Michael T. Cahill 46, died suddenly on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Michael was born May 15, 1976, and grew up in Upper Darby, PA, son of Paul T. Cahill and Anne (Donnelly) Cahill. He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline (Paylor) Cahill and children Emily and Brian, his father Paul T. Cahill, in-laws Jack and Rosemary Paylor, brother Matthew (Melissa), sisters Rebecca Cahill, Jeanne Cahill, Bridget (Dan Spayd) and Mollie (Steve Genuardi) along with 6 nieces and 6 nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his mother Anne (Donnelly) Cahill and grandparents.

Michael graduated from Upper Darby High Class of 1994. Following high school, Michael worked at St. Edmonds home for Children in Rosemont, PA where he found his passion for helping others. This led to him receiving his Associates degree in Occupational Therapy, graduating from Harcum College in 2001. Michael has worked throughout the Delaware County area doing what he did best, helping others and making them laugh.

Michael married his high school sweetheart Jacqui and were together for over 30 years, being married for 16 years. He was a loving father and could often be found volunteering with his son’s Boy Scout Troop, often spending time with them on various trips and events or cheering him on at the baseball field.  Michael was also proud of his daughter and enjoyed watching her dance in recitals or listening to her preform in her school’s band or chorus concerts. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, making memories at the beach in Strathmere, NJ. Michael would spend countless summers in the ocean or in the bay and at the boardwalk. Michael worked hard to provide for his family and made friends wherever he went.  He always had a smile on his face and cracked the usual Dad joke. Michael will be missed by all whom knew him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road Broomall, PA 19008. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at St. Denis Church, 2401 St Denis Ln, Havertown, PA 19083, where friends may call from 9:30-10:45 AM. Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
