Mary Jane (Campbell) Clark

Mary Jane Clark, age 86, of Broomall, PA, passed away on November 8, 2023, at home, after an extended illness.  Raised in Cambridge MA, Mary Jane attended the University of Massachusetts, where she met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Clark.  Mary Jane is survived by Ken, her husband of 65 years and their three children, Douglas Clark (Mary) of Winter Haven, FL, Sharon Behmke (Randy) of Downingtown, PA and Carolyn Longchamp (Jon) of Atkinson, NH, as well as 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Formerly of Springfield, Mary Jane was a resident of Broomall for 36 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with, and cooking dinners for her family.  She enjoyed listening to classical music and show tunes, but particularly loved the opera. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and delighted in the teams’ recent successes.

Mary Jane was an exceptional cook and enjoyed hosting parties, making every occasion extra special with her delicious, homemade dishes.  She loved to sew, especially costumes and quilts.  For over 20 years, she helped to design and create costumes for the Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra musical productions.  She opened up her basement as the “Sewing Hole” so that the team of costumers could work together.  She thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with these ladies.  When not working on costumes, Mary Jane made quilts.  She enjoyed making quilt tops, which she sent to the My Brother’s Keeper organization, who turned them into finished quilts or sleeping bags for the homeless.

Visitation for friends and family, will be on November 18 at Charlotte’s Restaurant, from 12:00 to 3:00.
