Mary Ann Margaret (nee Cashmere) Cusack, 73, of New Providence, NJ, formerly of Villanova, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20th, 2022. She was the loving wife, nurse and angel of the late Robert F. Cusack.
Born in Delaware Co. on October 30th, 1949, Mary Ann was a daughter of the late Joseph Paul and Mary (nee Beltz) Cashmere.
Mary Ann always loved music. In high school, where she played first trombone in her orchestra, as well piano, she earned a scholarship to Julliard. But, she chose to devote herself to a life of medicine instead; she was a Registered Nurse for over 45 years. After her first retirement, she went on to Villanova University and completed her Bachelor Degree. She became an inspector of Nursing Homes for the State of Pennsylvania in her second half of her career until she finally retired in 2015.
She was very active with the Wayne Rotary Club and served as president on multiple occasions. She enjoyed volunteering and her latest was at Morristown Hospital in New Jersey.
Mary Ann was a devoted mother. Surviving her are her two children, Sean B. Cusack of Manhattan, NY and Brian J. Cusack and his wife, Lynn M. (nee Mistretta) Cusack of Mountainside, NJ; two grandchildren, Cooper Robert Cusack and Amelia June Cusack; a brother, Joseph Cashmere and his wife, Shirley of Natalie, PA and a sister, Anita (nee Cashmere) Patterson and her husband, Michael of Glen Mills.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, November 27th, 2022 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and on Monday, November 28th, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am in Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. Prayers will be in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00am. Mary Ann will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. Funeral attendees are welcomed to wear their most comfortable pink and beige rather than formal black, as we wish to celebrate a life well lived.
