Mary Jankowski Obituary

Mary Ruth Jankowski, known fondly as Mary, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023, in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Born on January 6, 1947, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Norman and Melita (Mathers) Jones, Mary lived a life full of laughter, love, and countless ice cream cones.

Mary was a spirited woman, known for her quick wit and her ability to make anyone feel at home. She was known to bring joy to everyone she met while giving her opinion on anything and everything. Mary was highly organized, a trait that served her well in her professional life. She was the proud owner and operator of many Dairy Queen franchises, a role she relished for its community service. Mary's commitment to her customers and her generosity made her a beloved figure in her community.

Mary's love for her family was immeasurable. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly Ann (Jankowski) Pfeiffer and her fiancé, Gregory John Davie. Mary was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: twins Emily Rose and Nicholas Robert Vasquez, Sophia Marie Pfeiffer, Jessica Francine Davie and her companion, Timothy Weir, Gregory Thomas Davie and his wife, Rachel, and Natalie Francine Davie. Each of her grandchildren brought her immense joy and they will carry her legacy forward. In addition, Mary was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Willow, Jordan, Alessio, Kai, and Sage, who brought an added layer of joy to her life.

Mary is also survived by her sister, Marsha “Jean” (Jones) Christ and her husband, Walter; her nephew, Eric Michael Christ and his fiancée, Ashley Crane and her niece, Sarah (Christ) DeGenova and her husband, William. Each of these family members held a special place in Mary's heart and they will continue to honor her memory.

Mary Jankowski's life was marked by her love for the Buffalo Bills football team, knitting, and her unwavering love for her family. She brought a spark to every room she entered, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her family, her friends, and the countless customers she served over the years at her Dairy Queen. Mary's life was a testament to the power of kindness, the importance of family, and the joy of a well-served ice cream cone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
