Mary “Mimi” Gillooly, 60, passed away on August 21, 2018 at her home in Havertown, PA. She was born February 11, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA.
Mary was headstrong, compassionate, and loving, which served her well in her career as a nurse. A devoted advocate of animal rights, Mary selflessly rescued, fostered, and cared for many animals throughout the years. She was fiercely loyal and incredibly proud of her large Irish Catholic family. Mary was always up for a good time – she was known for her great sense of humor and contagious laugh.
After fighting harder and enduring more than most anyone could, she is finally relieved of pain and suffering. Mary is now gloriously reunited in heaven with her mom, Pat, her dad, Daniel, her sister, Patty, her brothers, Pete and Tommy, and her beloved fur babies, Kayla, Cody, Nick, Gizmo, Molly, Cassie, and Brody.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Jimmy, Joe, Danny, Brian, Michael, Rich, George, Pat, Sean and Marty; her sisters Trish and Sandy; and many adoring nieces, nephews, grandnieces, & grandnephews.
Following Mary’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of her life will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a gift in memory of Mary may be made online www.friendsofbcas.org or by mail to Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter 3111 Route 38, Suite 11 #238 in Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
“And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
