Mary Danovich Obituary

Mary Margaret Danovich peacefully entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family in her home in Yeadon, Pennsylvania on December 19, 2020 at the age of 97. Mary Margaret was born to the late Henry and Augusta (nee Schott) Reeping in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on January 7, 1923. In addition to her parents, Mary Margaret is preceded in death by her husband John, sisters Agnes Carrico and Elizabeth (Betty Jane) Fetsic, and brothers Henry, Edward, and Regis. Those left to mourn Mary Margaret’s passing include her sister, Rose Joan (Joanne) Gabrys of Bradenville, Pennsylvania and sister-in-law Magdaline Ostheim of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her children Mary Ann of Yeadon, Pennsylvania; Teresa (David Olszyk) of Eugene, Oregon; John of Indianapolis, Indiana; Kathleen (ⴕ Donald) Krofcheck of Westerville, Ohio; James (Josefina) of Tempe, Arizona; Robert of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; Edward (Janet) of Sewell, New Jersey; and Daniel (Patricia Morgera) of Downingtown, Pennsylvania as well as thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Margaret grew up on a farm in western Pennsylvania. After high school she worked at the American Locomotive Company in Latrobe, PA. After moving to Philadelphia upon marriage she worked for Tidewater Royal Company. Following the birth of her children Mary Margaret devoted her life to raising her children in a loving and supportive home. She and her husband John instilled in them a respect for life, a strong Catholic faith, a love of learning, and the importance of family. Mary Margaret enjoyed playing pinochle and bowling with her family and friends. Mary Margaret was a parishioner of Saint Louis Church in Yeadon, Pennsylvania and was the secretary of the St. Louis Lesurites for many years.

Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. The Visitation and Funeral Mass will be private. Interment will be in Uniontown, PA.
