Obituary

Mark E. Oswald, a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 63, in Exton, PA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 21, 1959, in Gloucester, MA, Mark was the son of the late Van and Polly Oswald, and the beloved husband of Barbara, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage and their loving cat Dude.

Mark attended Downingtown Senior High School and West Chester University.  Mark went on to be the owner/operator of Marchwood Cleaners, Inc. for 35 years.

Mark had a love for animals, always enjoyed playing golf and was a true sports enthusiast. He also had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed attending countless concerts with friends and family. Mark was known for his kind, funny, and selfless nature, always putting others before himself. His presence brought joy and laughter to every room he entered, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Mark is survived by his brother Van Oswald; sisters Karen Siringhaus, Diane Lien, and Arlene Putney; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored him. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Polly Oswald; sister Christine Sparrow; and brother Eric Oswald. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared with his family and friends.

As Mark bravely faced his battle with cancer, he remained a beacon of strength and positivity, never losing his sense of humor or his ability to make others smile. He exemplified the quote by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Mark's unwavering kindness and generosity will forever be remembered by those who knew him.

Mark's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and determination. His spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends for years to come.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 10 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Logan Funeral Home 698 E. Lincoln Hwy. Exton, PA 19341, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
