Lynn M. McGraw (Swank) passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Rosewood Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born April 2, 1948 in Reading, Pennsylvania, her family moved to Edgewood, MD in 1961. Lynn moved to Philadelphia in 1966 to attend Drexel University where she graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for The VA Hospital until 1979 as a Medical Technologist in the clinical lab. She then went to Delaware County Memorial Hospital. After leaving Delaware County Memorial Hospital Lynn returned to school at The Chubb Institute and started working as a medical data entry specialist at Crozier Hospital.
Lynn was preceded in death by her husband John C. McGraw, and her parents Edgar Swank and Mae Swank (Fetterman) and stepmother Virginia “Val” Swank (Valaike), as well as her brother in law David Myers.
Lynn is survived by her sons, Patrick J. McGraw, Michael J. McGraw and J. Daniel McGraw (Erinn), as well as her grandchildren; Laela, Cassidy and Maeve. She will be sadly missed by her siblings: Sherry Myers, Jeff Swank (Debbie), Robert Swank, Patti Longo (Jim), Kathy Hayes (Walter), Mark Campbell (Denise), Craig Campbell (Julie), De Wolfe (Steve) and Lynn Ramsburg (Chris), along with in laws Eleanor Maglinte (Dean), Bernie Mann (Danny), Connie McGraw and Joseph McGraw (Peggy); as well as MANY nieces and nephews.
Lynn will be remembered for her kindness and dedication to her family. Lynn’s life long passion of jewelry making and beading led her to play active roles in multiple organizations relating to the craft. Lynn was so giving and loved to be able to make someone smile by providing them with handmade jewelry or crafts of her own creation. Lynn also took pride in being the “sweetheart” of the Alpha Pi Lamda (Apple Pi) Fraternity at Drexel University - in which she made life long friends. Lynn and her late husband John also enjoyed spending their time in Ocean City, MD at their cottage and going to over to Assateague Island to see the wild ponies.
The family would like to thank the committed care providers at Rosewood Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as well as Serenity Hospice for the support and kindness shown to Lynn and her family during the final moments of her life. They are truly special people.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a remembrance service at Logan-Videon Funeral Home located at 2001 Sproul Rd, Broomall, PA 19008.
