Lucy M. Birker, age 87, passed away on January 17, 2025, at Riddle Hospital Hospice in Media, Pennsylvania. She was also the current resident of Sunrise, Granite Run Assisted Living.
Lucy was a native of Pennsylvania, that ventured to Southern California in the mid-1970s, where she continued her career with AT&T in Tustin long after her official retirement. She was honored for an impressive 50 years of service, a milestone she cherished deeply alongside the camaraderie of her colleagues.
Lucy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved people, adored Disneyland, practiced yoga, and was rarely seen without a cup of coffee in hand. Her favorite indulgences included Kentucky Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and McDonald's, which she affectionately called "McD's." An avid reader, Lucy treasured her Bible, carrying it with her everywhere and guarding it as though it were gold.
She was the daughter of the late Paul G. Berberian and the late Araxe M. (Agajanian) Berberian, and the sister of the late Sarah Berberian and the late Paul Berberian Jr. (Vicki). Lucy is survived by her three sons: Edward, Eric, and Paul; as well as her loving cousins from Massachusetts and nieces and nephews from New Jersey and Maryland.
Both services and burial will be private.
Interment will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
Lucy's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
