Louise I. Craig passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving daughters on September 20, 2021 at the age of 85. Born February 2, 1936 in Darby, PA to Joseph E. and Lillian (nee Pace) Azzari.
Louise married Harry "Buddy" Craig in May of 1958. In her earlier years Louise worked at Keystone Foods in Bryn Mawr as Administrator for the Director of Marketing and was proud of the work she was doing. While employed there, she and her husband purchased Craig's Tavern in Drexel Hill, PA in 1986. At the Jersey shore she loved the beach, riding her bike to the shops and meeting friends for lunch or dinner at the Windrift or the Deauville Inn. A puzzle could always be found on her table waiting to be finished. She enjoyed sewing and could make just about anything. There are many fond memories of the many Halloween costumes she made for the family. She raised her seven children while her husband worked full time during the day and bartended at night.
Beloved wife of the late Harry "Buddy" Craig. Loving mother of Deborah Cherubino (Dennis) of Coatesville, PA; Denise Meikle (James) of West Chester, PA; Teresa Morris (Stephen) of Broomall, PA; Karen O'Rangers (Paul) of Downingtown, PA; Linda Bogan (Gary) of Newtown Square, PA. and the late Robert Craig, Susan Cox. Mother-in-law of Marjorie Craig and John Cox.
Loving grandmother of Robert Jr., Nicholas, Michael, Dennis John “DJ”, John Jr., Andrew, Craig, Christin, Nikki, Sean, Kelly, Sammy, Shane, Kevin, Tyler, and Bryan and the late Kimberly. Adored great-grandmother of John Patrick III “JP”, Abigail, Emerson, Phoebe, and Rose Mae. Loving sister of the late Anthony Azzari, Charlie Azzari and Marianne Dimizio. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Friday, September 24th, 11:00 AM at St. Pius Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, where a Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM prior to mass at the church.
