Lois Weagley Obituary

Lois Myers Weagley, age 103, died June 28, 2022, surrounded by her family. A graduate of Shippensburg University, she attended The Pennsylvania State University, while completing 10 years as a teacher in the Franklin County, PA schools.

Lois was an avid gardener and often created bouquets of roses for friends and loved ones. She enjoyed traveling, spending time in Europe with her family, and vacationing in Quebec, Hawaii, Bermuda, and Alaska, among other places.

A music lover, she could often be found at Longwood Gardens, listening to concerts and organ music in the conservatory and strolling the gardens. She also took pleasure from her time at home: enjoying her many pets, swimming in the pool, reading World War II history, or simply visiting on the front porch with family.

Lois was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Richard Weagley. She is survived by three children, Sue Campbell (Jim) of Illinois, Mark Weagley, and Julie Weagley, both of West Chester, and four grandchildren Brian (Rachael and their two daughters), Tim, Christina, and Kevin, all of Illinois.

A memorial service will be held at Logan Funeral Home in Exton, PA at 11 am on July 15, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
