Lois M. Castaldi (nee McKeever) died peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the age of 89. Lois is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Raphael “Ray” Castaldi who passed away in 2014.
Lois was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania to Lida Mae (nee Goodwin) and Howard McKeever in April, 1935. She attended Upper Darby schools, graduating in 1953, where she majored in business studies and played on the school’s field hockey team.
She was a stay-at-home mother for about 15 years and began working outside the home around 1971. She was a secretary and worked in a number of places over the years but she found her niche as a legal secretary.
She was a member of the Broomall Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the Marple Twp. Ambulance Corps Auxiliary and the Marple Twp Police Wives Association.
She is survived by her 5 children: Nancy E. Dobbins (Steve), James R Castaldi (Cindy), Susan M. D’Angelo, Robert J. Castaldi (Erica-Lynn), Barbara A. Castaldi (Roy). Predeceased by her son-in-law, Jeffrey B. Schwartz

Also survived by her sister-in-law, Helen N. Castaldi. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents, sister, Barbara A. Maher and brother-in-law, John Maher predeceased her.
