Lisa Ruggiano, age 39, of Grays Ferry passed away peacefully after a long illness, on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Beloved daughter of Ronald “Skip” and the late Regina (nee Dougherty) Ruggiano. Also, predeceased by her stepmother Helen Ruggiano and her brothers Ronald “Ronnie” Ruggiano and Jason Ruggiano.
Lisa was a loving and fierce mother to her children, a loving and supporting wife and a loyal friend. Lisa was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a proud member of The Grays Ferry Community.
Lisa had a kind heart and was loved by many. Lisa was a published poet and enjoyed music of all types. She loved watching the artistic development and performances of her children. She was always the first one ready for any family party and was the most at home while sitting around a campfire at the “Shore” listening to music and signing along. Lisa possessed a special kindness towards animals. Lisa was an avid fan of the television crime drama “Law and Order”. She watched each and every episode many times.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband Carmine Zulli, her loving children Matthew Street, Charles Zulli, Colin Zulli, & Regina Zulli, and her adoring father Ronald “Skip” Ruggiano. Also survived by loving sister Melissa (Chris) Sweck, Joanna Pack, Melissa (John) Fahey and sister-in-laws Jennifer Ruggiano and Trudy Ruggiano. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 12:30 P.M. Monday, June 7th at St. Gabriel’s Church, 29th & Dickinson Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19146 where friends may call 11:30 A.M. – 12:15 P.M. at the church. Interment private.
