Leslie Patricia (Slate) Cahill

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Patricia Cahill, who left this world on February 11, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on October 1, 1965, Leslie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion.

A dedicated and accomplished healthcare professional, Leslie began her journey at Souderton Area High School, graduating with the Class of 1983. She pursued her passion for nursing, earning her RN from Montgomery County Community College in 2000, followed by a BSN from Eastern University in 2006, and later achieving her Master of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph’s University.

Throughout her career, Leslie made a lasting impact in the medical field, working at Main Line Health, United Anesthesia at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital, and Jefferson University Hospital, where she served as a nurse anesthetist. Her deep care for others and dedication to her work touched countless lives.

She was known for her adventurous spirit, love of music, and the joy she found in traveling and being surrounded by those she loved. Her spontaneous and fun-loving personality brought light to every room she entered, and her compassionate heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Cahill; her children, Stephanie Schlesman, Amber Schlesman, Brandon Houseman, Timothy Houseman (son-in-law),  Lina Cahill, Colin Cahill, and Declan Cahill. Leslie was also a grandmother to Jaxson Riegel and Benjamin Riegel. 

Family and friends are invited to honor Leslie’s life at a funeral service on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Logan Funeral Home, 392 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern  PA 19355.  A Celebration of her Life will follow on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Daisy Tavern,  1100 E Hector Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lupus Foundation, Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037, a cause close to Leslie’s heart.

Leslie’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
