Lawrence "Larry" Armstrong Obituary

Lawrence C. “Larry” Armstrong passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2021, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Born in 1946, he was a lifelong resident of Havertown, PA.

Larry was a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in combat in the Vietnam War. He served his country proudly.

Larry returned home and began working for Northwest Orient Airlines. While working there, he met the love of his life, Veronica (Ronnie). They soon married and decided to raise their family in his hometown.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 667. He was also a supporter of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Larry enjoyed watching both NFL and MLB games. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family on the Chesapeake Bay. But above all, he enjoyed doting over his granddaughter Elizabeth who was “the apple of his eye”.

Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Veronica (nee Wisowaty), daughter Jennifer Pitcher and her husband Chad of Allentown PA, daughter Suzanne Wojtkiewicz, her husband Mark, and their daughter Elizabeth, all of Dover, DE. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Armstrong and his wife Linda in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him.

Interment will be held at 11 AM on September 7, 2021, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, located at 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940.
