Kyle Brandon Hansen

March 20, 1985 - March 10, 2024

Kyle Brandon Hansen, 38, passed away suddenly in Pennsylvania on March 10th, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Anna Squitiere, mother, Rosemary Kuhlmann, father, Jeff Hansen, stepfather, Kyle Kuhlmann, stepmother, Lissa Hansen , sisters, Amber Green & Chloë Henderson, brother, Cole Hansen, mother-in-law, Paula Squitiere, brother-in-law, Jason Squitiere, and sister-in-law, Karen Squitiere.  Also survived by his grandmother, Virginia Krueger and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Kyle grew up in The Dalles and Gresham Oregon, and graduated high school early to selflessly enlist into the United States Army at 17 years of age. He was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, with the 1st Armored Division, as a Chemical Weapons Specialist. After returning home, Kyle attended Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon where he studied professional photography. Kyle developed a real eye for capturing the life he was experiencing around him, and expressed his creative abilities in the art of tattooing as well. Kyle decided to continue his education and his passion for cooking at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland and in California. He excelled working in the kitchen making complex dishes, and enjoyed showing others how to incorporate culinary techniques into everyday cooking.

Kyle furthered his education at North West Renewable Energy Institute in Vancouver Washington, and excelled in his studies, graduating on the Dean's list. His skills and tenacity led to his career as a telecom technician and then on to other technical and managerial roles. Kyle’s career took him to Pennsylvania where he met Anna, the love of his life. Their relationship evolved over time enjoying activities together such as going to music shows, traveling across many different states, and meeting new friends along the way.

Kyle was known best by his infectious laugh, his smile, and the ability to make friends with just about anyone. He possessed a unique sense of humor, and upheld a genuine ‘live and let live’ philosophy. He was a talented cook, artist, photographer, and had excellent carpentry skills. Kyle enjoyed golf, basketball, and was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was active in fundraisers and events for Veteran causes, and also loved animals, particularly his two dogs, Robbie & Abbey.

Kyle will be remembered for his compassion and willingness to help others without any hesitation. He made a profound impact on every life he touched. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Kyle’s family will invite close friends and loved ones to a private memorial service in his honor. We kindly request your understanding and respect for our wishes during this time. Services will be held in Pennsylvania & Oregon.
