Judith A “Judy” (nee Holleran) Falcone, 83, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.
Born in 1943 in Upper Darby, PA, she was the only daughter of William D and Edna Mae (nee Fleming) Holleran.
Judy was the beloved wife for 53 years of the late James A. Falcone, Jr. She’s survived by her brother William (Patricia) Holleran of Millville, DE, and by her five children: Charlene Nichols (the late Billy) of Oxford, PA; Laura Paszek (Robert) of Downingtown, PA; Joy Dorn (Jason) of Elverson, PA; Julianne Falcone of West Chester, PA; and Daniel Falcone of New York City, NY.
Judy was a wise and wonderful Mommom who adored her grandchildren Joy, Billy, Max, Jacob, Samantha, Billy, Lydia, Hannah, Nolan, and Lucy. She was grateful to have lived long enough to know and love her great-grandchildren Jocelyn, Elliana, and Annabelle.
She graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1960. Judy’s home is a reflection of the joy she found being a homemaker and mother. It’s filled with memories and photos; decorated in her singular style.
Judy was an accomplished and talented seamstress, crafting and customizing clothing and doll outfits (sometimes matching), curtains, her own version of “Jams” shorts (in the 1980s), prom gowns, Halloween costumes, and even upholstery.
She greatly enjoyed cooking and ensured her family gathered daily around the dinner table—which we did eagerly - and on time. Over many decades, we celebrated holidays and birthdays with Judy’s delicious home-cooked food, plus her (and our) favorite pound cake (Martha Washington’s recipe).
Judy was President of the Williamson Trade School’s Auxiliary. She worked briefly for West Chester Visiting Nurses.
Judy was a patriot, a proud American whose great-grandfather, Union Navy First Class Fireman Matthew McClelland, received a Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery during the US Civil War.
Judy had kind, pale blue eyes and a robust laugh. She enjoyed music and dancing. She loved life and connecting with people. She was the heart of our family. She was a tremendous mother.
Above all, Judy was a devout Christian who believed in the sanctity of life. She’s with the Lord now. You can also know the peace and unconditional love Judy experienced through her personal relationship with Jesus. She would say it’s as easy as asking Him into your heart, then reading the Bible and using its teachings in your life. If you do, Judy will be there to greet you when it’s your time to return to heaven. God bless. Thanks, Mom!
